This week Jared and Sean represented the college in two (next steps) meetings.
Firstly, we met with a tutor from Lancaster and Morecambe College who is developing a new programme. The ‘Step Up’ programme offers a wide range of regulated vocational qualifications which fully support the development and up-skilling of learners of any age. There are many courses which include Animal Care, Art and Cooking and are tailored to each student’s needs. Our student’s went to see if the setting and the programme content would meet the needs of our learners, ensuring it would offer them further opportunity for progression when their time comes to leave Beaumont College.
The second meeting was with the job centre, the students went along to the hub to discuss further possibilities for their future. Jared and Sean did a fantastic job of representing Beaumont College at the meetings. Well done to both.
