Access to Learning Pathway

Education is a journey, one that doesn’t just end with graduation. It’s a path of continuous learning, personal growth, and adaptation. At Beaumont College, we recognise the importance of this journey and have crafted a unique curriculum pathway to reflect this understanding – the ‘Access to Learning’ pathway.

Our fifth pathway focuses on preparing students for future opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences, bridging the gap between academic life and adulthood. Whether students aim to transition into employment, volunteering, further education, or training, this pathway offers a comprehensive suite of activities designed to cultivate work and independence skills.

Preparing for Future Opportunities

We’ve put a lot of thought into designing it with the future in mind, so our students can be ready for whatever comes their way. We’ve included real-world scenarios and practical activities in our curriculum, so that our students can develop all the skills they need to take on the world as adults.

Whether it’s learning to navigate a tricky work environment, understanding their role in society, practicing decision-making, or building resilience in the face of change, we’ve got it all covered!

Transitioning from College to Career or Continuing Education

At ‘Access to Learning’, we believe in making life easier for students as they move from college to the next big adventure in their lives. Whether it’s finding work, pursuing further education, volunteering, or training, we’ve got you covered.

Our curriculum is designed to help you explore your interests and guide you towards making informed decisions about your future. We offer tailored guidance sessions, career exploration activities, and a whole host of resources to help you figure out what’s next. With our comprehensive approach, you can be confident that you’re making the right choice for you.

Developing Work and Independence Skills

Getting ready for the future is all about building up your skills and independence. That’s why we created the ‘Access to Learning’ programme. This has all sorts of fun activities to help you become the best you can be. When it comes to work, we’ll teach you everything you need to know. You’ll learn how to work well in a team, solve problems, manage your time, and act professionally.

These skills are priceless no matter what kind of job you have, paid or not. But that’s not all! We also want you to learn how to be independent and take care of yourself. You’ll practice making decisions, taking care of yourself, managing your money, and being responsible. These are all super important skills for being a successful adult.

Access to Learning at Beaumont College

At Beaumont College, our “Access to Learning” pathway is not just another academic programme. It’s a transformative journey where our students grow, gain practical skills, and build their confidence. We understand that education is more than just getting good grades; it’s about preparing our students for the complex world of adulthood.

That’s why we focus on equipping them with the essential skills they need to succeed in any path they choose. Whether it’s work, further education, or independent living. We’re committed to helping our students transition smoothly into their next phase of life, so they can confidently take on any challenge that comes their way.
