What’s happening at Beaumont?

October 14, 2020

It has been a fantastic start to the term with staff and students all happy to be back at College. Here are just a few of the things that have been going on since term started:

Brooklyn Art library

Beaumont College Lancaster students have taken part in the Brooklyn Art Library Sketchbook project. Students across the timetable submitted their work to the Sketchbook which has now been returned to New York for Archiving. The Sketch book is being digitized and will be available online soon. Students are thrilled to be a part of such a large scale project.

Duke of Edinburgh Award

Beaumont College Gold Duke of Edinburgh Team have completed their practise Expedition walk. The team spent time preparing their route, rucksack packing and menu – finishing the first day with a feast made by Liam and Jadhaan. It was a team effort with the washing up. Waking up bright and early they walked their way from Carnforth to College via the Canal footpath. A glorious day with views of the Lake District and the impressive Lancaster Canal. Harry’s morning quote “I’m happy to be camping at College!” Fresh air and purpose – a great motivating combination! On they go!

Sign of the Day

Beaumont College’s sign of the day returns this academic year with some new faces to meet! A great way to meet the staff and learn more about the team.

Campus Improvements

Students and staff are thrilled at the improvements that have been made over the summer break. In particular, the new fitted kitchen on one of the living areas updated with ESFA CAPEX funding.
