Unique Art Awards 2025

October 2, 2025

The artistic talent of Beaumont College Lancaster student Rebecca Hall has been recognised at a national level, after she secured a bronze medal in the Digital Art category at the Unique Arts Awards 2025.

Rebecca, a second-year residential student, impressed judges with her creativity and commitment to the arts. While she enjoys a wide range of classes and activities at college, it is in the creative arts where her passion shines. Over the past year, she has worked hard to refine her skills and explore new artistic approaches.

The award-winning piece was a striking mixed-media artwork. Rebecca began with a hand-painted design, before scanning and digitally manipulating it to create a multi-layered, visually dynamic final piece.

On Friday evening, Rebecca attended the awards ceremony online with the support of her Mum, where she was named bronze prize winner. She will receive a certificate and gift voucher from the organisers.

Leanne Hornby, Pathway Coordinator and Art Teacher at Beaumont College, said:

“We are all really proud of Rebecca here at Beaumont College and it’s wonderful to see her hard work recognised by such a well-renowned national competition. The confidence and positivity this nomination, and now her bronze win, has given Rebecca means she’s already a winner in our eyes. I was delighted to be able to attend the online ceremony with Rebecca and her Mum, and to see how proud she was when her name was announced.”

Reflecting on her achievement, Rebecca said:

“I feel proud of myself, I am so happy.”

Rebecca’s artwork is also being used to advertise an exhibition of the finalists’ work at the Freedom Through Expression Gallery in Hampshire, which celebrates the talents of young artists with disabilities while offering inclusive opportunities for local artists and craftspeople to display and sell their work.

John Godden, Chief Executive of Salutem Care and Education, added:

“Rebecca’s success is an inspiration to all of us. Her creativity, determination, and willingness to push boundaries showcase the very best of what our students can achieve. We couldn’t be prouder of her.”

Congratulations Rebecca – a fantastic achievement that showcases the creativity and talent of Beaumont College students on the national stage.
