Beaumont College Lancaster
Empowering Futures for Special School Leavers and BeyondAt Beaumont College, we specialise in transforming the lives of students transitioning from special schools to adulthood. Our bespoke pathways are designed to cater to each student’s unique needs, ensuring they receive the personalised, intensive support they deserve.
Hi, I’m Vicky, one of the pathway coordinators at Beaumont. I’ve been here since 2015, working with PMLD learners who have complex medical or cognitive needs. We provide a variety of opportunities and stimuli to enrich their lives, focusing on lifelong learning, comfort, and safety. Our goal is to enhance their independence and enjoyment, while teaching new routines and community skills.
We collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language experts, and assistive technology specialists, to offer a holistic education. Our team ensures students are safe, happy, and comfortable, facilitating enriching learning experiences. At Beaumont, we aim to enhance student voices and help them achieve maximum independence.
