“Brilliant Alone, Stronger Together: A Gathering of Neurodiversity Supporters” event

March 12, 2026

Students and staff from Beaumont College South Lakes were proud to support and participate in this high profile event, which took place at Cooke’s Studios in Barrow in Furness.

The day was convened by the High Sheriff of Cumbria, Dr. Geoff Joliffe, and was delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria and Cumbria Community Foundation.

The aim of the day was to connect people and organisations across Cumbria who are supporting people with Autism and ADHD, in order to be stronger together in their delivery of services.

The nature of the event was one of discussion, discovery and connection. It was an opportunity for key stakeholders and supporters of neurodiversity services across Cumbria to network.

Students and staff from Beaumont College South Lakes delivered their inspirational music performances as part of the event, which was well received by their audience.
