National Careers Week (NCW) is a celebration of careers guidance in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at important stages in the academic year to help support young people leaving education. National Careers Week takes place between the 6th and 11th March 2023, encouraging education providers to bring together students, local employers and advisers through careers events and activities.
Beaumont College is dedicated to supporting our students through the process of deciding what direction they would like to take on their transition to the next stage of their lives. Our career provision helps to support the transition into adulthood through highlighting and discussing all of the options available to them. Depending on individual cognition, Outcomes and Aims of Placement, students will be provided with meaningful experience of the world of work as well as developing employability skills through an embedded approach to the delivery of careers provision.
You can download the Application for Provider Access.
We use the Gatsby Benchmarks as a way of ensuring high quality provision, advice and guidance is offered. We have strong links with the Lancashire Careers Hub as well as individual support from Inspira Representatives, dependent on which Local Authority the young person is from. Excellent careers guidance ensures there is equality of opportunity, it unlocks potential and transforms outcomes for young people. We believe that giving students the best careers education and guidance is vital to improving their motivation to learn and help them to achieve.
