Awards

Student progress is monitored through achievements made against Expected Outcomes and steps to achievement.
The curriculum offers a range of opportunities for students to achieve internally recognised certification. We also offer externally accredited qualifications provided by nationally recognised awarding bodies that are on the Qualifications Credit Framework and are part of foundation learning.

Awards currently include:
Arts Award – bronze, silver and gold
City and Guilds – Certificate in Effective Augmentative and Alternative Communication
Ascentis – Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT
AQA – Art and Design

The framework for internal achievements and external accreditation is regularly revised to ensure it is fit for purpose, relevant to ongoing transition needs, supports progress and recognises achievements in a robust and meaningful way.
